We currently have positions available for highly motivated applicants with interests in mitochondrial biology, neurodegenerative diseases, and quantitative imaging.

Graduate Students: Interested graduate students admitted to Duke are encouraged to contact Professor Evans to schedule a rotation. Please include a CV with relevant coursework and research experience and a statement of research interests. The Evans lab is currently affiliated with the Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB), Neurobiology, and Developmental Stem Cell Biology programs.

Graduate students are not directly admitted into a lab, but must apply through the graduate programs that are a part of the graduate school. Please contact the individual graduate programs for more information and submission deadlines.

We currently do not have research technician, postdocal fellows, staff scientist, or undergraduate student positions available in the lab. Please check back later!

Research Technicians: Technicians in the lab will manage general lab supplies, design/perform experiments, and contribute to ongoing projects. Experience with cell culture, animal care, and dissections are preferred. Candidates should e-mail a CV, a statement of research interests and career goals, and the contact information of two references. A minimum two-year commitment is requested for all technicians.

Postdoctoral Fellows: Interested candidates should provide a cover letter, CV, copies of published papers, and arrange for 3 letters of reference to be sent. In the cover letter, applicants should describe their research experience and indicate the experimental direction they would like to pursue in the lab.

Staff Scientist: Interested candidates should provide a cover letter, CV, and copies of published papers. In the cover letter, applications should describe their research experience, interest in the lab, and indicate how they will help facilitate ongoing and future projects within the lab.
